This remarkable site benefits from the microclimate due to the proximity of the estuary and the southern exposure of its hillside of gravel and limestone. Maitre COUTIN Notary to Jonzac gave the name of Clos du Notaire to this domain already renowned in the XIXth century. The 75% Merlot and the Cabernet allow to express this terroir in a wine of ample guard and with tannins.
