Origins of Rhums Clément
In 1887 the founder Homère Clément bought a sugar cane plantation on the island of Martinique. The Clément distillery came into being in 1917 when the owner decided to add value to the sugar cane harvest. Clément rums quickly stood out from their competitors thanks to their know-how, which has now been passed on to the distillery's new owner.
Vieux Rhum Clément VSOP
This amber-coloured agricultural rum is produced on the island of Martinique. VSOP means that it has aged for 1 year in new French oak barrels and then 3 years in oak barrels that have contained bourbon. Old Clément VSOP rum has an intense nose with aromas of orange, vanilla, cocoa and mocha. On the palate, this amber rum is perfectly balanced with its exotic, coconut and woody flavours following its ageing in oak casks. Clément VSOP is a benchmark in its category, winning numerous prizes in competitions around the world.
