Cheval Noir Bordeaux red wine is made from a blend of several grape varieties called varietals, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec. These different grape varieties each bring their own flavour and aroma to this delicious Bordeaux red wine. Notably notes of red and black fruit such as plum, cherry, blackcurrant and blackberry, you can also taste notes of spice and herbaceousness. Cheval Noir has tannic notes, balance and a hint of acidity on the finish. You can pair this wine with red meat in sauce or grilled, with a platter of mature cheeses or game.
