Description
This wine is not strictly the second wine of Château Ducru-Beaucaillou, as specific vineyard plots are dedicated to this cuvée. La Croix Ducru Beaucaillou 2018 is a blend of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, and 3% Petit Verdot. It has aged for 12 months in barrels, of which 60% were new oak barrels.
Its appearance is a beautiful garnet violet, the nose presents tobacco and truffle notes. On the palate, fruity notes such as blackcurrant and blackberry take center stage, accompanied by hints of aromatic herbs and undergrowth. The tannic structure is firm.
