The 2003 vintage is an atypical vintage in Champagne because it was very hot. The harvest took place early in the season, with grapes that were very ripe. As a result, 2003 produced powerful, concentrated wines with less freshness. Bergère has succeeded in producing a rich, ripe 2003 champagne while preserving just the right amount of liveliness.
This champagne Oenothèque A. Bergère 2003 in magnum has a brilliant gold colour. The nose reveals aromas of ripe fruit, honey and grilled almonds. The palate is beautifully complex, marked by yellow fruit, brioche and mineral notes. The acidity is present despite the vintage.
You'll love this very fine champagne with seafood, oysters and smoked fish. The roundness of this vintage also makes it a good match for poultry.
