Champagne Marguet Yuman 21, 1er Cru Blanc de Blancs, is an organic champagne that embodies the excellence and finesse of the Champagne terroir. Made exclusively from the Chardonnay grape variety, this champagne is the fruit of certified organic viticulture that respects the environment. Domaine Marguet, located in Ambonnay, is renowned for its commitment to sustainable viticultural practices and its ancestral know-how.
The terroir of Ambonnay, where the vines for Champagne Marguet Yuman 21 are grown, plays a crucial role in the aromatic and taste profile of this champagne. The chalky, limestone soils impart a distinctive minerality, bringing freshness and tension to the wine. The local microclimate, with its oceanic and continental influences, encourages slow, balanced ripening of the grapes, bringing out the white fruit aromas and floral notes.
Vinification of Champagne Marguet Yuman 21 begins with hand-picking of the grapes, followed by gentle pressing to extract the purest juice. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats, followed by partial malolactic fermentation to preserve freshness and aromatic complexity. The wine is then matured on its lees for several months, before being bottled for the prise de mousse. Ageing on laths lasts a minimum of 24 months, allowing the champagne to develop its aromas and finesse.
Champagne Marguet Yuman 21 has a luminous golden colour, with fine, persistent bubbles. On the nose, this champagne reveals aromas of white fruit, such as apple and pear, accompanied by floral notes of white flowers and acacia. The palate is lively and fresh, with a delicate effervescence. Flavours of white fruit and flowers come through, underpinned by the chalky minerality characteristic of the Ambonnay terroir. The finish is long and persistent, with good tension and a slight saline note.
This champagne is ideal with seafood, fine fish or soft cheeses. It is also perfect as an aperitif or to celebrate special occasions.
