Calmel et Joseph is a wine estate established in the Languedoc region since 1995. It takes its name from its 2 founders, Laurent Calmel and Jérôme Joseph. Their high-quality wines have made a name for themselves in the south-west region. The Calmel et Joseph estate uses a large number of grape varieties (around fifteen) planted according to the terroir and climate of their plots, and all the grapes are harvested by hand.

La Ruffle is a blend of 3 grape varieties that are emblematic of the Languedoc region: Syrah, Grenachet and Carignan. This Languedoc red wine is complex, rich and balanced thanks to the blend of these 3 grape varieties. As its name suggests, on the nose the Rufflle gives you intense notes of thorny black fruit such as blackberry and black cherry. It is generous on the palate, with supple tannins and a good length that can be appreciated by connoisseurs. Calmel et Joseph's Cuvé la Ruffle goes wonderfully with grilled red meat, mature cheeses, Mediterranean dishes and lamb.
