This sweet white wine is produced in the South-West of France by the Laplace family, a 58-hectare estate created in 1927 over 4 generations. Poule aux Oeufs d'Or is a blend of 80% gros manseng and 20% petit manseng. This blend allows this white wine to become sweet and mellow.
Tasting of Poule aux Oeufs d'Or
This sweet white wine has a brilliant golden colour and a nose of exotic fruits such as mango and pineapple. When you taste it, you'll have the sensation of an explosion of fruit on the palate, with plenty of freshness and roundness. The golden goose can be savoured with this sweetness in the mouth. Ideal with foie gras, dessert or simply as an aperitif.
