Spirited Union Pink Grapefruit & Rose Botanical Rum is a botanical rum based on a Swaziland rum. This rum is distilled with pink grapefruit zest, then infused with blood orange, rose petals and elderflower.

The result is very surprising, as you don't really get the impression that you recognise the rum when you taste it.

We'd use it more for a ‘Rhum Tonic’, as the floral notes take over. But objectively, it's not bad at all...

This collection of botanical rums was launched in 2019. Spirited Union is not only a distillery but also a cocktail bar in Amsterdam.  This project meets all the current standards. Ruben Maduro chose to produce his electricity from photovoltaic panels and to build an eco-responsible building. This category of botanical rums is not, strictly speaking, a flavoured or arranged rum. The technique used is more akin to making dregs. The rum is the base alcohol, which is then improved by macerating botanicals, using natural distillates, but above all without adding sugar... then sometimes re-distilled.
