Description

Spirited Union Organic COCONUT Botanical Rum. The tropical flavours of the Belizean rum used as the base for this Botanical Rum have been combined with the maceration of roasted organic coconut. Then Madagascar vanilla beans and Peruvian cocoa were added. The whole was re-distilled once to obtain this delicious botanical rum marked by notes of coconut, vanilla and roasting that evoke hazelnuts.

This collection of botanical rums was launched in 2019. Spirited Union is both a distillery and a cocktail bar in Amsterdam.  This project meets all the current standards. Ruben Maduro chose to produce his electricity from photovoltaic panels and to build an eco-responsible building. This category of botanical rums are not, strictly speaking, flavoured rums or arranged rums. The technique used is more akin to making dregs. The rum is the base alcohol, which is then improved by macerating botanicals, using natural distillates, but above all without adding sugar... then sometimes re-distilled.
