Description
This Nikka Coffey gin is made with alcohols obtained by distillation in the Coffey stills of the Miyagikyo distillery from malted barley and corn. The particular shape of these stills in the shape of a tulip onion gives a rich, soft, silky alcohol. It is this impression that we find.
The botanicals used are very classic in a sense since you will find 11 such as (juniper berries, angelica, coriander seeds, but also a very Japanese identity with the use of four types of Japanese citrus fruits: Yuzu, Kabosu, Amanatsu and Shequasar but also the Japanese Sansho green pepper.
The result is a formidable, very complex gin that will enchant with its notes of orange blossom, lime, but also spicy touches of gray pepper and pink berries.
