Champagne Besserat de Bellefon was founded in 1843 in Aÿ. For nearly 200 years, this Champagne house has been distributed exclusively in gourmet restaurants, hotels, wine shops and delicatessens. Besserat de Bellefon has been served in the world's greatest cabarets, at the Elysée Palace and on all Air France flights since 1978.

The grapes for this champagne come exclusively from the best vineyards in the Champagne region in order to offer consumers the very best. The recipe for Besserat de Bellefon Bleu Brut Champagne dates back to 1930, with a blend of 45% meunier, 30% chardonnay and 25% pinot noir. The grapes are harvested from the famous vineyards of the Avize, Mesnil sur Oger, Louvois, Bisseuil, Vertus, Mareuil sur Aÿ, Grauves and Cumières appellations. It is aged for 3 years on a bed with a minimum disgorgement of 6 months. When tasted, it has a coppery, straw-yellow colour with very clean, delicious aromas of lime blossom, hazelnut and mirabelle plum. On the palate, the wine is supple and well-balanced, with very fine bubbles that are easy to savour.
