Description
St. Bernardus Prior 8 is a traditional abbey beer brewed in the classic "Dubbel" style. Its original recipe dates back to the time when the brewery brewed under licence for the monks of Westvleteren, between 1946 and 1992.
This beer has a dark brown colour with deep red highlights, topped with a dense, creamy head. On the nose, it has a fruity aroma with notes of red apple, complemented by exotic hints of fig and date. These aromas are harmoniously balanced by impressions of caramel and toasted malt. On the palate, the malty, fruity flavour provides a perfect balance between bitterness and sweetness, offering a rich, complex taste experience.
