Maison DARROZE BORDER LINE French brandy aged in Pinot Noir barrels 70 cl

Description

This French Brandy was produced in 812 copies (It cannot have the Armagnac appellation) from Maison DARROZE. A 5-year-old Armagnac was transferred in November 2023 to 220-liter barrels from Burgundy that contained red wine made from the Pinot Noir grape variety.

This Brandy has a very beautiful orange-yellow color and garnet highlights. The Pinot Noir barrel finish brings notes of quince, fig and also aromas of brandied cherry, toast, smoke, citrus peel and clove.

We also find these complex notes on the palate with notes of red fruits, brandied cherry, nutmeg, white pepper and nuts. The tannins are integrated and supple.

A selection of Armagnacs from the 2018 harvest were chosen to create this UFO in the world of Armagnacs.

This range is entitled Borderline, because Maison DARROZE pioneers finishing practices which are already widely experienced in the world of rums and whiskeys.

This latter aging no longer allows these eaux-de-vie to be bottled under the Armagnac appellation.

However, it allows you to discover new nuances of the potential of this magnificent brandy that is Armagnac.
