Armagnac DARROZE Celebration of the 50th Anniversary 70 c

Description

This vintage is the vintage assembled on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the DARROZE house.

The choice was made to base it on the vintages which have marked the history of this beautiful Armagnac house.

First of all, 1974, 50-year-old Armagnacs which give this set complexity, spicy notes and tannic structure. 
Then came the 1982 and 1985 vintages which were warm years and which brought volume and fullness to this anniversary vintage.
We continue with the 1994 vintage since it was at this time that the DARROZE house chose to use less toasted barrels preserving the fruit of the eaux-de-vie.
Finally, the years 2002 and 2011 bring fruit and freshness. 

This blend is based on key years of the house but also on grape varieties that the DARROZE house likes to use. therefore this blend is also made up of eaux de vie from the Baco grape varieties for 45% and Ugni Blanc for 45% as well, then 10% from Folle Lanche.

When tasting this exceptional Armagnac, you will love its beautiful gold color and its mahogany reflections.
The nose offers aromas of candied fruits such as apricot and orange zest but also spicy notes that evoke vanilla, cinnamon and licorice. The second nose offers notes of dried fruits such as fig and almonds then toasted notes. 
The palate reveals a beautiful tannic presence, which combines the passion of young eaux-de-vie and the wisdom and depth of a 50-year-old Armagnac. We find on the palate of course the notes of spices, leather, candied orange and the length in the mouth is impressive.
