The Copper Dog brand name dates back to 1893 when Scottish workers and travellers met in a Craigellachie pub to swap stories about their copper dogs and smuggling. Founder Piers Adam took up the name Copper Dog when creating this blend of Scotch whisky from the Speyside region. The main aim of Copper Dog was to give the style of the Speyside region through a blend malt.
Tasting this Speyside Blend Malt Whisky
Created from a blend of 8 single malts from the Speyside region, Copper Dog is cask-aged, giving it woody, vanilla and cinnamon aromas. On the palate, this blend malt is delicious, with flavours of ripe fruit (apple, pear, etc.), nuts and a finish of light spices and woody aromas.
