Sheep Dip Blended Malt is a Scotch whisky blended from premium single malts, available in limited quantities. The name is inspired by the Scottish farmers who used to clandestinely distil and exchange casks throughout Scotland. A cask of 'Sheep Dip' contained much more than tincture against parasites in sheep, and it had the advantage of passing under the noses of the customs and excise officers responsible for enforcing tax laws on the production and sale of alcohol.

In 1936, Leonard Russell founded Ian Macleod & Company Ltd, a whisky brokerage firm. Thanks to his expertise, the company quickly established a reputation for the quality of its products. Over the decades, Ian Macleod & Company Ltd has evolved from simple whisky brokerage to managing its own brands and becoming a major player in the selection and distribution of whiskies.

Tasting Sheep Dip Whisky

No fewer than 16 single malts from the Highlands and Speyside go into this bottle. A blend of whiskies aged between 8 and 20 years, aged in first-fill sherry and bourbon casks. Aromatic and taste profile: malty, toffee, honey, caramel, white fruit (apples), rich, warm.
