Its history

Named after the most fearsome Royal Air Force squadron of the Second World War, Squadron 303. Made up of Polish and British pilots, they introduced each other to their favourite spirits. The Poles introduced their allies to vodka and the English to English, Scotch and Irish whiskies. Also known as the Blend of Freedom, this whisky was served in the pubs of Edinburgh in Scotland, frequented by the pilots of Squadron 303.

Which blend for Squadron 303?

It's made up of a Scottish single malt, an English single malt, a French single malt, an American bourbon and Irish grain. The English single malt brings a pastry flavour that goes very well with the Butter Scotch of the Irish grain, the Scottish malt brings the peaty side softened by the roundness of the American Bourbon. The French single malt adds a floral note to this blend.

Tasting notes

Long on the palate, sweet, fruity and slightly peaty. A toasty, vanilla flavour comes through on the nose.
