Ballentine's finest whisky

Ballentine's was founded by George Ballentine in 1827 at the age of 19. He set up a small grocery shop in Cowgate. In 1836, he turned to the art of aging whisky and opened a Ballentine's department stores'. In 1857, he offered delivery within 10 miles! He developed the business well before the age of the internet. Then came the export of Ballentine's blends and the expansion of the shops. George's two sons took over the business. In 1937 George Robertson joined the Ballentine's family and offered his talents as a master blender. Since then, the company has won a string of awards thanks to its various master blenders.
