Cuvée Billecart Salmon Brut Sous Bois

This Champagne cuvée is a blend of 3 grape varieties: chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot meunier. The special feature of Brut Sous Bois is that it is aged in oak barrels, hence the name Brut Sous Bois. This type of ageing gives this brut champagne some rather surprising spice and vanilla flavours. The aromas in this cuvée are woody and fruity, with a hint of honey. The palate is dominated by white fruits, with freshness and a fine, intense bubble. This type of champagne can be kept for several years in a cellar away from light and heat and laid horizontally.
