Description

Clos Saint Hilaire 2006 from Billecart-Salmon is a vintage of Blanc de Noirs champagne. The name of this vintage refers to the patron saint of the village of Mareuil-sur-Aÿ.

This enclosed plot covers a single hectare planted with 1964 Pinot Noir.

The 2006 vintage benefited from many periods of sunshine.

The wine is vinified only in barrels with a maturation on lees of 159 months.

You will love this exceptional champagne, a golden yellow color with golden reflections. The bubble cord is continuous and the bubbles are incredibly fine.

The nose is very complex and vinous, it offers notes of freshly roasted hazelnuts and hints of white pepper. The second nose transports us to notes of ripe orchard fruit and sweet spices.

The mouth is full and fine. We find beautiful notes of citrus, almond paste biscuits and white pepper. The finish is of exceptional length, with beautiful notes of vanilla.
