The nose reveals hints of papaya, mango, cocoa and vanilla. On the palate, fruity notes of orange and sugar cane melt away. The finish is smooth and long, with a creamy, jovial aftertaste.

Do you know the unusual history of AH Riise?

This rum comes from the northern islands. The first owner of the Virgin Islands was the King of Denmark. They became British, then French, and in 1916 were sold to the United States, the strategic position being ideal. Since the 17th century, there has been a real know-how in the cultivation of sugar cane.

The history of this limited XO cuvée :

This cuvée XO Kong Haakon celebrates the friendly relationship between King Haakon VII of Norway and Valdermar Riise, the creator of AH Riise Rum and Pharmacy. This original recipe seduced the king at the time, and that's how this special cuvée was born. It was in Kong Haakon that Valdemar Riise was appointed consul of the Danish West Indies in 1906, and in 1912 he was awarded the Royal Norwegian Order of St Olav.
