A.H. RIISE Royal Danish Navy Rum
Description
This almost black Rum Riise Royal Danish Navy is produced according to the process imagined by Heinrich Riise between 1834 and 1874 in the Danish Antilles (American Virgin Islands). This rum was sold to Danish ships who came to collect their cargoes in the port of Charlotte Amelie, in St Thomas in the Caribbean. This traditional A.H. Riise royal danish navy rum is produced from very slowly fermented cane juice. The distillation of this AH Riise royal danish navy rum is carried out in a traditional still called "Pot Still". This method gives a dark, very brown, sweet rum with complex notes of spices, coffee, caramel liquorice and wood. on the palate, these aromas are elegantly combined with an exotic touch of bitter orange and bergamot, with a very nice length in the end.The Master Rhumier, then selects rums aged for 20 years.
