FONTAGARD Whisky, French Single Malt Aged in COGNAC Barrels. The Fontagard Distillery aims to be one of the first green distilleries in France. They produce whiskies in a short supply chain, where barley is harvested, mashed, distilled, and aged in France.
There are several expressions of this whisky through different types of aging. Here are the codes:
CGNC: a whisky aged in old Cognac barrels,
PNDC: a whisky aged in Cognac and Pineau des Charentes barrels,
STRNS: a whisky aged in barrels that previously held very old Cognac and Sauternes wine.
