Don José Abuelo Rum Distillery
Founded by Don José in 1908 in Panama, the Abuelo rum distillery is run by the 3rd generation of Don José's family. The distillery is renowned for its century-old expertise and traditional production methods.
Abuelo XV Napoleon Rum
Cuvée Napoléon XV is made from sugar cane molasses that is fermented for 48 hours with special yeasts. The must is then distilled in a copper still. The resulting distillate is then aged for 15 months in American oak barrels containing bourbon. After ageing, the Abuelo XV rum is aged a second time in cognac barrels, giving it aromas of vanilla, nuts and dried fruit.
