Rum from Panama, Abuelo 12 ans
This amber rum is produced in Panama at the Don José Varela Blanco distillery, founded in 1908. This distillery is the leader in rum production, producing over 90% of Panama's rum.
Ron Abuelo 12 ans is a traditional Hispanic rum made from sugar cane molasses. It is then distilled in traditional copper columns and finally aged for 12 years in American oak casks that formerly contained Boubon.
How to enjoy Abuelo Rum 12 Year Old?
Ron Abuelo 12 ans is a complex, well-balanced rum offering aromas of vanilla, dried fruit, caramel and a few woody notes following its ageing in oak casks. On the palate, it is delicious, with flavours of dark chocolate, toasted nuts, spices and tobacco for a long finish marked by woody and vanilla notes.
You can enjoy this rum from Panama with a cigar, as a dessert or as an aperitif.
