Bourgogne Aligoté

Bourgogne Aligoté: a Burgundy appellation since 1937

This means that Bourgogne Aligoté can be produced on all the terroirs of Viticultural Burgundy. This white wine is produced from the Aligoté grape while (with the exception of Sauvignon de Saint Bris), the rest of the white Burgundy wines are made from the single Chardonnay grape. A Bourgogne Aligoté is lively and delicious, marked by vegetal and fruity notes (citrus and green apple). Burgundy Aligoté is the grape of choice for making the famous Kir when added to crème de cassis. Bourgogne Aligoté can also be used in the composition of certain Crémants de Bourgogne by blending before the prize de mousse.
