Whiskey Scapa Orkney Highlands
Pernod Ricard at the head of Scapa Orkney Higland whiskeys
The Scapa distillery, created in 1885, experienced many vicissitudes before resuming in 2004 after its takeover by the Pernod Ricard group. Scapa was even used during the Second World War as an ammunition warehouse. Scapa is a relatively small distillery since it produces "only" 1 million liters per year.
Scapa whiskey, Ballantine's and Teachers blends
An important part of the production goes into the composition of Ballantine's and Teachers blends. Pernod Ricard wants to make Scapa its spearhead in the island whiskey market and the 16-year-old and Skiren versions show the enormous potential of this distillery.
