Damoiseau rum a great agricultural rum

In 1942 Mr Roger DAMOISEAU father purchased the agricultural estate and the Bellevue distillery in Le Moule. Since then, the name Damoiseau has never ceased to be associated with the image of this high-quality agricultural rum. To be an agricultural rum, Damoiseau rum is exclusively made from freshly cut and crushed sugar cane juice. This sugar cane juice, the vesou, is fermented for 24 to 36 hours in order to obtain a "cane wine" grading between 5 ° and 6 °. The distillation of this "cane wine" takes place in a distillation column with 11 concentration trays and 15 exhaustion trays. The rum obtained has a titre of between 80 ° and 88 ° at the column outlet. This agricultural rum is then reduced or put in 180-liter bourbon barrels for aging. Damoiseau is present in more than 50 countries around the world.
