Château Talbot Saint Julien

Château Talbot is one of the 11 Grands Crus Classés of the Saint Julien appellation

This Saint-Julien 4 th Grand Cru Classé covers 108 hectares in one piece. The exceptional terroir of the castle, made of gravely alluvial ridges near the Gironde, associated with the work of Stéphane Derenoncourt raises this Saint Julien to levels never before reached. The latest vintages are a pure marvel of mastery.

Château Talbot owes its name to the Constable Talbot, an English lord at the time when Guyenne and Gascony were under English domination.

The Cordier family has owned this château since 1907. This is why you can find old vintages bottled in so-called "Cordier" bottles that are slightly more flared at the shoulders.

At Talbot the Caillou Blanc is the white wine of Talbot and the Constable of Talbot is the second wine.
