El Ron Prohibido
Rum Prohibido Habanero
Ron Prohibido is a rum from Mexico made by Cerveceria Mexicana (Brasserie is known as Cerveceria in Spanish), a brewery that brews the famous Mexican beer Mexicali in Ticate. This Ron Prohibido is an extension of the ancestral know-how of this brewery which dates from 1923. El Ron Prohibido is a Habanero rum because the last stop before the destination of this rum which was Spain passed through the port of Havana in Cuba, a kind of hub. As the rotations were not so frequent it was not uncommon for the rums to spend a few weeks or months in old Moscatel barrels to wait, and we must add the time of the sailboat trips between Havana and the Iberian Peninsula. A kind of aging in Muscat barrels before the hour !!!
