Château La Fleur-Pétrus, a great among the premier crus of Pomerol
This great Pomerol is located on the magnificent plateau which carries the great wines of this appellation. Contiguous with Château LAFLEUR to the west and Château PETRUS to the south, Château LA FLEUR-PÉTRUS has an essentially gravelly soil. The 14.50 hectare vineyard is planted with carefully chosen grape varieties, 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. Château LA FLEUR-PÉTRUS, like its illustrious neighbors, has certainly existed for centuries. It appears in books about Bordeaux from the first half of the 19th century. This beautiful estate was bought by Etablissements Jean-Pierre MOUEIX in 1953 and enlarged in 1994 with the acquisition of a delicious gravelly mound previously part of Château LE GAY.
