Campbeltown Whiskey

Campbeltown Whiskey is produced in one of the last 2 distilleries on the almost Island

The town of Campbeltown is located south of the Mull of Kintyre peninsula, on the west coast of Scotland not far from the Isle of Islay and Arran. There are only "two quarter distilleries" still in operation at Campbeltown, Springbank, Glengyle (since 2004) and Glen Scotia which only distills 2 to 3 months a year.

Campbeltown whiskey had more competition on the near Island in the 1900s

In the year 1900 there were as many as 34 distilleries in Campbeltown.
