A second distillery to compete with Isle of Skye whiskey?

However, there should soon be a second single malt produced on the Isle of Skye since the Torabhaig distillery was rebuilt in 2014 in the south-eastern part of the island, and the first whiskeys should be marketed in 2017 or 2018. Construction of a bridge which now connects the Isle of Skye to the mainland in no way hinders the deeply island character of its whiskeys.
