This rum bottled in Barbados is a blend of 8 rums from 8 different countries (Barbados, Brazil, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Guyana, Honduras and Salvador). The brand of Rum Bumbu evokes the practices around rum of the 16th and 17th centuries. At the time, rums were not as refined as they are today. the distillation conditions were not always perfect. In order to hide these flaws, these rums were spiced or blended with fresh fruit. They received a boost, a blow from Bumbu to improve them.
