Rum Kraken Spicy Caribbean Rum
Kraken rum evokes the octopus of "20,000 places under the sea"
The Kraken Rum is an arranged and spiced amber rum (Spiced rum), the rums that compose it are molasses rums aged 1 to 2 years and come from Trinidad and Tobago. The name of Kraken is inspired by a legend from this part of the world which relates that a ship and its load of black rum would have been caught by a giant octopus as monstrous as in "20,000 places under the sea": The Kraken .
This spiced Caribbean rum whose origin dates back only to 2010 is a black "Rum" to the point of reminiscent of octopus ink. These rums aged 1 or 2 years are left to macerate with 10 to 15 spices for a period of 24 months. Its recipe being of course secret, we can still raise notes of coffee, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, burnt caramel, pepper and vanilla. A word about the shape of the bottle which helps transport us to the Caribbean and its world of the buccaneer with its two rings on the neck which evokes the shape of the bottles embarked by the British navy in the 17th century.
