What is a Quadruple Beer?
A Quadruple beer (Quadrupel) is originally an Abbey beer that is brewed with about 4 times more grain than the recipe for the basic lager beer of the Abbey (the simple beer or small beer). A Quadrupel beer is therefore richer in alcohol and more malty.
