Ménard Bas Armagnac
The Ménard estate has been producing fine Armagnacs since the 1920s
It is the third generation who works at the estate. In addition to fine Armagnacs, the estate offers fine Côtes de Gascogne wines. The Prataveira and Jegerlehner families preside over the destiny of this 150 hectare estate.
Pioneers in the art of growing, vinifying and distilling the famous Bacco grape, Jean and Denise Jegerlehner decide to age their Armagnacs produced at the estate in their cellars. This avant-garde decision at the time allows Isabelle and Henry Prataveira (daughter and son-in-law of Jean and Denise) to benefit from eaux-de-vie over 40 years old which give the Armagnacs of the Ménard estate richness and depth.
