The Rossi family has a long tradition of importing fine spirits into Italy. During a visit to Scotland in 1990, Fabio Rossi discovered in the warehouses visited barrels of old rums from Jamaica or British Guyana. It was a great discovery and the start of a reflection that took almost 10 years to give birth to a range of rum selected and bottled by the Rossi family.
Silvano Samaroli helped the Rossi family to define the brand style of the Nation Rums launched in 1999. The Nation range gives pride of place to rums from the Caribbean and Latin America. Nation was one of the first independent rum bottler brand to showcase rums from Peru or Panama. The Nation Rums seek smoothness and sweetness in these old rums of Hispanic tradition.
