White Rum

White rum is drunk neat or as a ti-punch or as a base for a cocktail

There are agricultural rums made from freshly crushed sugar cane juice and traditional rums (from the sugar industry) made from molasses or cane honey.The rum is white (translucent) because it is its state. at the end of the distillation then it is put to rest in stainless steel or wooden vats but the time in contact with the wood does not allow a natural coloring of the rum like old rums. The case of Havana Club 3-year-old white rum is a rum that has aged in barrels and then passed through carbon filters to regain its original translucent state.

All the distilleries offer more or less premium white rums, vintage or not.
