Crusted Port
It is now very rare that the houses of Porto do Crusted Port
Originally, these Ports were made with the ends of Vintage Port barrels that were bottled in England. The bottoms of the barrels were full of deposits, all these barrel bottoms were gathered in a single barrel, left to rest so that these deposits sediment and form a crust at the bottom of the barrel.
