Byrrh
Byrrh in France is classified as wine-based aperitifs
Byrrh is invariably associated with the town of Thuir en Roussillon. The history of this brand from the beginning of the 20th century, used to breaking records after records, began at the end of the 19th century with the great vogue for toning wines made from cinchona. In 1910 Byrrh employed 750 people and sold 30 million liters of Byrrh. In 1951, the largest oak vat with a height of 10 meters and a diameter of 12 meters was put into operation. Nowadays the brand belongs to the Pernod Ricard group and the Byrrh is experiencing a revival that involves the world of mixology and cocktails. It may not be very "fashion" to order a Byrrh, but you must have tasted this French monument.
