Jim Bean Whiskey
Jim Beam whiskey installed in Kentucky since 1750
The Beam family emigrated to the United States and took root in Kentucky around 1750. Jacob Bean was the first of his family to set up a distillery around 1770. Seven generations later, the family is at the head of an empire in the worlds alcohols. Jim Beam, one of Jacob's successors, ran the distillery from 1894 to 1946.
Why this Jim Beam whiskey name?
He left such a mark on the company that the group's flagship brand took his name. This man was such a perfectionist that he always had a sample of the yeast used in the distillery at home in case a fire destroyed everything. The Jim Beam white Label is the world's best-selling Bourbon.
