Muscat d'Alsace

This white wine from Alsace should not be confused with the Moelleux Muscats from the south of France or Spain. This Muscat is a dry vinified white wine, full of freshness and liveliness and fruitiness. Two varieties of Muscat are used, Muscat à Petit Grains, Muscat Ottonel and to a lesser extent Muscat de Frontignan. Most of the Muscats d'Alsace are a blend of the first two Muscats. Muscat d'Alsace goes perfectly with an aperitif but also with smoked fish dishes or in sauce and Asian cuisine.
