Izarra from Pays Basque
The 2010s saw the rebirth of the legendary brand Izarra from the Pays Basque
This liqueur which comes in 3 versions, Izarra Jaune, Izarra Verte and Izarra 54 was created in 1904 in Bayonne. At the bottom of the wave, production had been relocated to Angers at the headquarters of Cointreau, the owner of the Izarra brand. Vincent Clabé-Navarre, an executive officer of Cointreau, took over the management of the brand, the head office was again located in Bayonne and multiple commercial actions were undertaken to rejuvenate the image of the brand by creating new cocktails based on Izarra. It is a success !
