Miraval Côtes de Provence
Château de Miraval covers 600 hectares
, it covers the whole of a 4 km wide valley. The average altitude of the vineyard is 350 m, this implies that the vineyard benefits from hot days for the maturity of the grapes and cool nights which ensure the crisp and freshness of the wines. The cultivation of the vines is sometimes done on terraces as in the Douro valley, the soils are predominantly clay and limestone, the limestone is filled with water in winter and returns it to the vines in summer.
