Le Cheval Noir: "the tractor" of Bordeaux wine region
In the 19th century this black horse did a lot of work in the Bordeaux wine estates, to the point of becoming synonymous with work and courage. In 1937, Maison Mälher Besse, soon to be the owner of Château Palmer, acquired this name which would become a brand.
Château Cheval Noir has 6 hectares in Saint-Emilion and also offers a nice red Bordeaux wine as well as a white Bordeaux wine.
