The Gamay Noir expresses its full potential of fruit aromas on these steep granite terroirs which characterize the wines of Fleurie. A Beaujolais de Fleurie has a bright red color with mauve reflections around the edges. On the nose, fruits such as cherry, raspberry as well as floral notes in general of Iris and violet burst out. The palate offers a lively attack with great fluidity linked to very fine tannins. A Fleurie is tasted very well in its first 5 years and will be appreciated for its qualities of freshness on poultry with creamy cheeses.
These climates would be the equivalent of the 1er Crus of Fleurie if this distinction existed (Moriers, Madone, Grille Midi ...)
